The good people of Tashie Baking, an organic granola company based out of North Carolina, approached me to create a logotype for their new business. Playing off the qualities of the progressive thinking and and the made-by-hand craftsmanship that goes into Tashie's product, I chose a typeface that projects a modern presence without being cold or stuffy and encased it in a medallion with implied stitching as an interior border. As a playful nod to the organic / environmentally conscious nature of the business, I added a leaf to the "I". One of the requirements for this logo was that it had to be one color and work either as part of an overall package design or as a standalone piece.
